about Me
My Hybrid life.
I have spent my life combining my loves with my work, and I am so appreciative for the family, animals and friends that I have encountered along the way.
From growing up in the suburbs of Westchester County, in New York to my travels around the country, I am thankful that I have had amazing mentors along the way. Sometimes I feel like Forrest Gump in that I end up in a perfect place at the perfect time meeting the perfect person.
Horses, skiing, and art have been major attractions to me and I have spent countless hours in the saddle, hours on the boards in the snow, and hours with myself and pencil, paper, brush and canvas, my hands in clay, and behind the lens of a camera.
I hate the saying that "those who can't do, teach"...as I have had the opposite experience- those who can "DO" can't always teach! I am and always have looked at teaching as facilitating, and have always sought to self improve, in whatever area I am "teaching" I have always ended up teaching what I love to do, as others have done with me.
After teaching Dressage and coaching the Mount Holyoke Dressage Team, from 2013-2016, spent a winter in Florida with EQ Saddle Science. There I "manned the booth" at the WEF Global Dressage Facility and I learned about this specially designed flapless dressage saddle from Carmi Weininger. I also attended many Instructor and judges symposiums in my "spare " time. At the end of the Florida competition season, I moved back to Vermont. I have been judging and teaching in the New England area since then. I currently teach out of Winterset Farm, about 20 minutes from my place in Waitsfield. Please feel free to contact me about lessons, clinics, judging, or if you are looking to either find a horse or pony, or if you have one that needs to find a new home.
