I have taught at Sugarbush and Mad River Glen in Vermont, Sundown and Mohawk in Connecticut and Deer Valley in Utah.I really got started by my mother Marilyn, who put me in skis as soon as I could walk!! Click on the photo for the link to the news story video about my mother who was an Olympic level skier.
I learned to be an instructor from many great skiers at Sugarbush and Mad River Glen in Vermont, Sigi Grottendorfer was the head of Sugarbush ski school and a mentor for years: I my first year as a rookie Denise McClugge worked with us of and on all winter as she wrote the book "Centered Skiing". We were her "guinea pigs" for the exercises and techniques in the book, and thereafter I was privileged to ski with Martin Marnet and the "centered" team.Years ago, I did the Professional Ski Instructor's Associate Level Certification. Since then I have gleaned so much from training and skiing. I have made so many friends along the way, it is impossible to list them all! Most recently at Mad River Glen, I have much respect for head of our ski school Terry Barbour, voted top instructor in the east! I learn so much from watching him ski.
